The research highlights that while the infrastructure for disseminating critical heat warnings is well-established, there are significant barriers to ensuring these messages reach and resonate with the general population effectively.

These findings underscore the need for enhanced strategies to improve public awareness and response to extreme heat events, which are expected to increase in frequency and intensity due to climate change.
